Study in English - Food Engineering - General information
Food engineering is second degree study (MSc studies) emerging field of study at Faculty of Food Technology at University of Agriculture in Kraków.  
 
The aim of this study is to provide students with up-to-date knowledge in the field of food technology in a broad sense, with particular emphasis paid to process and technical aspects in food design and production, to promote creativity in thinking and acting, in order to meet the needs of the economy and the situation on the labor market in the country and in the EU. 
 
This study is addressed to the graduates of broadly understood engineering studies conducted both in Poland and in other countries. Second degree studies in the field of Food Engineering will fill the gap in the teaching offer, because they are aimed not only at graduates of the first degree studies (engineering studies) in Food Technology or related faculties, but above all at graduates of the first or second degree studies in such fields as Food Production Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical and Process Engineering, Chemical Technology, Nanotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemical Technology, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering and Agroengineering. 
 
Presented knowledge will  provide students with supplementary knowledge in the field of food technology and nutrition, which, combined with modern knowledge in the field of food engineering, will be aimed at preparing students for a professional career. 
 
After graduation, the Food Engineering graduate will have a broad knowledge and skills in the field of food engineering as well as food and nutrition technology, and will be is prepared to work in engineering and managerial positions in food industry plants. He will also possess knowledge in the principles of market functioning and understands the principles of marketing products and services related to planning and food production management, as well as knows the formal and legal issues related to functioning in this segment of economic activity. Additionally the graduate will also have the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of law and economics needed to set up his own business.
